US Voluntary Recall and Replacement Program - Several Robitussin® products and Children's Dimetapp® Cold & Chest Congestion

Canada is not affected by the voluntary recall and replacement program of several Robitussin® products and Children's Dimetapp® Cold & Chest Congestion from US retailers.

On October 29th, 2007, Wyeth Consumer Healthcare in the United States announced a voluntary recall and replacement program from the U.S. market of several Robitussin® products and Children's Dimetapp® Cold & Chest Congestion. The products are being recalled and replaced because the dosage cup with these products does not have a half-teaspoon mark corresponding with their product labels. This action is specific to the dosage cup and not related to the safety of the medication.

The dosing cups in question are not included with any Robitussin® or Dimetapp® products in Canada.

Wyeth Consumer Healthcare Canada wants to assure consumers that they can continue to use Robitussin® and Dimetapp® products. These products are safe when used according to label directions.
